TROY: Concluding 2017, Moving Forward into 2018
As we have already immersed ourselves into 2018, we reflect on 2017 as an incredible year for Team TROY and the clients we serve! We are people driven by a passion to empower others to protect sensitive information in order to combat document fraud across the globe. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to guard against the misuse of information.
Here are some of the notable takeaways from last year.
Entered into Five New International Markets
We were very much honored to receive five (5) West Virginia Governor’s Commendation for International Market Entry awards. In the West Virginia Governor’s Commendation Award, we exported to Maldives, Niger, Senegal, Serbia, Suriname.
As a global leader, we are currently serving clients in over 140 countries, with security and local support. In addition to our International Sales Team, we are supported by 250+ partners, distributors and resellers worldwide.
Software Releases and Updates
SecureDocs for High Security Applications: The SecureDocs launch was phenomenally received during Security Document
World (SDW) in London in June. While the beta version of SecureDocs had been released in 2016, this was our official launch.
Selected by leading government agencies in various countries, SecureDocs software is utilized for protecting birth certificates, transportation documents, diplomas, and other sensitive information at-risk for fraud. When combined with TROY security printers and UV inks, SecureDocs delivers a total protective solution to prevent forgery, falsification and alteration of high security documents, including serialization and offsite authentication via the SecureDocs mobile app.
AssurePay Check Printing Software: Released in February 2017, AssurePay is a robust software designed to streamline on-demand check printing. With unique versions for Retail Banking and Corporate Accounts Payable & Payroll, AssurePay features multi-currency and multi-language printing, easy reporting for reconciliation as well as auditing to help safeguard against internal and external fraud. AssurePay is flexible, scalable, and integrates into most ERPs to help reduce clerical errors, and features Positive Pay.
During the year, AssurePay was also updated to work with Windows 10, further guiding our commitment to stable technology and enhanced security safeguards.
Specialty Hardware and Consumables
As a HP Partner, we are not only backed by the world’s most secure printers¹, we are also the only manufacturer permitted to enhance HP printers for MICR and Security functionality. During 2017, we released a set of TROY Security Printers, two new lines of TROY MICR Printers and complementary MICR Security Toners, as well as increased the breadth of UV Inks and Toners.
The TROY M203 MICR Printer is a desktop unit, weighing less than 16 pounds, ideal for low volume check printing on either blank or preprinted check stock. With patented TROY MICR Toner Secure, each check printed will release a red dye if chemical alteration is attempted.
Our newest fleet of workgroup printers, the TROY M607/M608/M609 Series was released for medium-to-high volume needs.
- The TROY M607/M608/M609 MICR Printers are equipped with all the security features needed to print checks in-house, including TROY MICR Fonts and a full, standard yield, OEM MICR Toner Secure cartridge. With TROY MICR solutions, our customers can be sure they receive the most reliable, consistent, quality print with every payment.
- The TROY M607/M608/M609 Security Printers are designed to protect your high value paper stock. Complete with all the HP security features, these models are available with one or two locking trays.
Our ink and toner engineers have been working diligently to develop new security consumables for every size client, from single, decentralized offices to centralized production facilities. This was the break-through year.
Our teams developed several new UV overt and covert inks, as well as increasing the variety of TROY SecureUV inks. TROY SecureUV provides a covert layer of security with text or images printing invisible and fluorescing with the proper verification light. This covert security facilitates document authentication and creates an anti-copy, fraud resistant document.
