TROY and HP Reach 30 years of Partnership

The History 

In 1963, TROY became a leader in the industry by becoming one of the first companies to develop a MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) font for printers. This font allowed printers to print checks with magnetic ink, making them machine-readable and more secure. This was a significant breakthrough at the time, as check fraud was a major problem, and the use of magnetic ink made it much harder for criminals to alter or counterfeit checks.  

In 1993, TROY partnered with HP, being the first and only company authorized to enhance HP printers and hardware, even to this day. As an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partner, TROY is committed to providing innovative solutions which protect printed checks and other high-value documents. For three decades, the two have developed industry leading OEM quality security solutions.
