What is NAPHSIS?

NAPHSIS is the National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting personal identity and promoting public health. This year’s theme is Getting Our Ducks in a Row: Modernizing Vital Records.

Today’s Modern Document Security

As fraudsters find loopholes and ways to hack the system, technologies must adapt and get smarter. We will be featuring three modern, innovative technologies which, when bundled together, provide a comprehensive document security solution.

1. SecureDocs Software: Designed to print tamper-resistant, personalized documents, SecureDocs empowers users to add security, at the point of print, to prevent fraud and forgery of documents. Features include: 1) TROY Personalized MicroPrint, 2) TROYMark™ Variable Data Watermark, 3) TROY Copy Evident Pantograph, and 4) PrintTrace. This layered approach is what helps keep fraudsters from replicating vital documents, moving toward a more secure future for identities here in the US.

2. Secure Locking Paper Trays: A much simpler technology, but effective for safeguarding security paper stock, locking trays help decrease time involved with chain of custody protocols. With tray locks and shielding, you can limit access to certificate paper.

3. Overt & Covert UV Inks and Security Toner: When coupled with SecureDocs, TROY UV inks and security toners, add fraud- and tamper-resistance to every printed document. On display at the booth is the TROY OfficeJet Pro 8210 SecureUV Printer which includes both overt and covert UV inks which fluoresce when hit with ultraviolet light, making verification easy for the end user. Not included in the TROY 8210, but available for other printer models, TROY Security Toner aids with tamper-resistance, bleeding red if chemically altered.
