In case you haven’t heard, we unveiled our new document security solution at Security Document World (SDW) in June and the response was overwhelming. We knew we had a winning solution when other vendors came by to see why our booth was jam-packed. Our area was literally buzzing with activity, people spilling out into the walkways, waiting patiently to have their turn to demo the new solution. At the close of the show, we had to politely ask attendees and vendors to leave our space so they could close the exhibit hall. What a great show! Next year we’re going to need a bigger booth.

What was all the buzz about, you ask….

The TROY SecureDocs Solution Prevents Fraud of Sensitive Documents

With a captive audience, we knew SDW was the perfect venue to launch our Layered, On-Demand Security Solution to protecting documents at risk for fraud. This solution is designed to assist governments and public sector organizations where IDs, diplomas, certificates, and other important documents are counterfeit targets. For instance, fraudulent IDs can be used to obtain legitimate documents and are the engines for organized crime, while fake diplomas can place unqualified professionals in positions of power where harm could come based on their inexperience.

In order to help better protect the citizens of the world, we are empowering organizations to increase document security through this layered approach. Our high security total solution includes SecureDocs software and TROY secure printers with UV fluorescing inks.

Smart Security for Printed Documents

SecureDocs software, developed and engineered by our team of experts, delivers a total protective solution to prevent forgery, falsification, and alteration of high security documents on demand, at point of issue. The software’s unique features make it easy to add layered fraud protection to any document at risk of counterfeiting. This next generation, smart, fraud-resistant software utilizes four key protective layers: 1) personalization, 2) covert, 3) anti-copy, and 4) digital.

Personalized Security

Data captured from the print files can be used to create personalized security elements. Utilizing a unique watermark and/or microprint, either with variable text, document authenticity becomes virtually impossible to counterfeit and easy to verify.

Covert Security

Add additional layers of anti-copy and fraud protections by printing covert security elements with TROY SecureUV inks. Invisible to the naked eye, SecureUV fluoresces only under a UV verification light. Add a ghost image, watermark and/or text printed in covert ink for the ultimate document protection.

Digital Security

You know how we said this was the ‘next generation, smart solution’? This is where the smart technology really comes into play. With the SecureMark and PrintTrace features, you can include a QR or barcode. These elements are coded with document data and enable on-the-go authentication and audit tracking with the SecureDocs smartphone app. The PrintTrace feature is also capable of serialization for further tracking, including important information about each print job.

Anti-Copy Security

Overt security elements, such as Pantograph and MicroPrint, discourage replication of documents. The Pantograph will show a Void or Copy text on the photocopy, while the MicroPrint lines becomes illegible.

Secure Printers & UV Fluorescing Inks

While most of the security elements above can be printed using the SecureDocs software and your existing print environment, it’s the TROY SecureUV Printers and SecureUV Inks which complete the High Security Total Solution. Backed by HP’s world-class endpoint printer security, TROY printers are not only secure, but also innovative. Fully backed by both TROY and HP, we are the only manufacturer permitted to enhance HP printers.

To accommodate a multitude of print volumes, TROY SecureUV Printers are available in mobile, workgroup, and desktop models. With business-class productivity, these printers have a low cost of ownership and the PageWide technology highlights the fastest print speeds in their category.

Featuring inkjet technology, the TROY UV Printers have been enhanced to accept a variety of TROY UV inks, specifically developed for each individual printer. Inkjet provides added security since the ink penetrates into the paper and cannot be scrubbed or chemically altered without destroying the original. TROY UV Inks are proprietary, developed in-house, and tested for optimal performance.
